- Place the bowl in the fridge for 20 minutes.
While the Jello mixture is cooling you can prepare the bendy straws by stretching them to their maximum length and then placing them upside down in an empty jar.
To help keep them upright you will want to pack them in as tightly as you can. You can also use a rubber band to help secure the straws inside the jar.
Once the Jello is cool remove it from the fridge and stir in the whipping cream. Once combined carefully pour the mixture into the straws, slowly adding more liquid until the jar is filled.
Place the jar in the fridge for at least 9 hours to set.
Once the Jello is set remove the jar from the fridge and carefully begin removing the straws from the jar. As you remove each straw run it under hot water for 5-10 seconds. Then, carefully squeeze “the worm” out of the straw.
Repeat these steps several times until all of the worms are free.
Aren’t these things the coolest?
These super glowing worms are fun for kids to make, they are fun to play with, and kids will love eating them afterwards, too!
Serve them at a Halloween party for a creepy-crawly dessert that guests are sure to love!
