IMPORTANT: Major Airbag Recall

CONSUMER ALERT:

U.S. safety regulators issued an airbag recall warning to owners of more than 7.8 million vehicles to get them repaired immediately. That is three million more than earlier this week.

All vehicles have been recalled for air bag problems.

It covers vehicles from multiple car companies dating back to 2002.

Inflators can rupture in airbags made by Takata Corporation, causing metal fragments to fly out when the bags are inflated in crashes.

Cars from Honda, Toyota, Nissan, Mazda, General Motors, Ford, Chrysler, BMW, Subaru and Mitsubishi have already been recalled because of the problem.

Safety advocates say at least four people died because of this problem.

Check to see if your vehicle is on the list and let your friends know as well.
